A few habits that make QuickEstimate work especially well for plumbing jobs.
Quote from the job site
Fixture replacements, drain work, and repipe jobs are easiest to scope while you're looking at them. Talk through the job — fixtures involved, rough materials, access difficulty — and send the estimate before you're back in the truck. Jobs quoted on-site close at a noticeably higher rate than ones sent the next day.
Call out access and code details
Mentioning tight access, permit requirements, or code-driven work (like backflow prevention) when you describe the job helps the first draft come back more accurate, with less editing needed afterward.
Standard line items worth saving
Common plumbing line items — fixture install, valve replacement, drain clearing, water heater swap — show up across most jobs. Once an estimate has the wording and pricing you like, duplicate it as a starting point for similar future jobs instead of describing the job from scratch every time.
Emergency and after-hours jobs
For urgent calls, voice input is the fastest way to get a priced estimate in front of a customer while you're already on-site and the meter (and their patience) is running.
